Instructor Training in Austin, February 27-28, 2023
Monday - Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (demonstration lessons)
The Instructor Training course is designed for those interested in becoming an instructor. Presented over two days, the course includes 12 hours of instruction and 4 hours of presentations (10-15 minute demonstration) by each participant. For this class, you may either prepare your demo around a section or sections of the course you intend to teach in the future, or you may select any topic. The best demonstration lessons typically involve subject matter that you really care about. Be creative!
It is recommended that you do some preparatory work for your lesson in advance. If you plan to use PowerPoint etc., you will need to bring it with you on a flash drive. The class is informal and feedback is expected from every participant.
Course Materials: You are responsible for printing your student materials and bringing them to class with you. A link to print your materials will be emailed to you the week prior to your class date. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder. Contact our office at 512-926-2511, if you haven't received the material by the Thursday prior to your class. (The email address on your profile will be used. Please make sure that the email address on your account is correct and up to date.)
**IMPORTANT NOTE** For an additional $15 TAAO will print your material and have it available for you at check-in, please add the print fee to your cart below.
Location: TAAO Education Center, 2028 E. Ben White Blvd. Ste #305, Austin, TX 78741 (Building doors open at 8 am daily.)
Lodging: Students are responsible for making their own arrangements. TAAO has negotiated a special rate for a few hotels within 5 minutes of the Education Center. Click HERE to view your options and make your reservations.

We suggest you bring:
- Pen and pad for notes
- Highlighter
- Jacket, in case room temperature is cold
All cancellations must be received in writing at least seven days prior to the start date of the class and will incur a $100 processing fee (per class cancelled).
