Leslie Muller, Deputy Chief of Administration, has been employed by the Bastrop Central Appraisal District since January 1984.  Leslie began her career at the Appraisal District as a data entry clerk and was promoted to her current position in July of 2000.  Ms. Muller has served the district in various capacities and has held several positions of responsibility.  She has overseen the Agriculture Special Valuation process as the Agricultural Specialist, managed computer operations as Systems Administrator and is currently the Deputy Chief of Administration.  In the absence of the Chief Appraiser, she is responsible for the day to day operations of the appraisal district.  Ms. Muller oversees the input of data into the computer system.  She manages office personnel and the procedural processes of applications for exemptions and agricultural special value.   In addition, she serves as the coordinator for the Appraisal Review Board. 

Ms. Muller currently holds an RPA (Registered Professional Appraiser) designation as well as the CTA (Certified Tax Administrator) designation and is in good standing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.  She completes over 40 hours of continuing education annually.  She is a member of Texas Association of Assessing Officers and currently serves as a Regional Director.  Leslie has been awarded the inaugural “Up and Coming” award in 2013, the President’s Award in 2013 and 2015, “ICTA of the Year” in 2018 and the prestigious “Marillyn Albert Award” in 2019.  Leslie has also served as the Chair for the Institute of Certified Tax Administrators at the state level.  

In her spare time, Leslie enjoys working with horses and reading.  She is a member of Cedar Creek United Methodist Church where she has volunteered on various committees as well as the Executive Board.
