Survey Results Show TAAO's Live Webinar a Great Success

TAAO produced its first live Zoom webinar last Tuesday May 26th to resounding success according to post survey results. The two hour seminar sponsored by Popp Hutcheson entitled “Facing the Appraisal District and ARB Challenges During COVID-19 Crisis” hosted 293 members from all across Texas. The panel moderated by Jim Popp featured industry experts Ken Nolan (DCAD), Brent South (Hunt CAD), John Kennedy (TTARA) & Doug Smithson (Cooke CAD).

Participants were asked to review the webinar with the following results:

Of the 77 respondents, 76 responded to the seminar being helpful.

The topics that were most helpful were in the following order: ARB Concerns, Re-opening Process, Response to COVID-19, Customer Service, Legislative Issues then Budget Concerns.

90% felt the speakers were engaging, knowledgeable and relatable.

The attendees were from rural counties by a 2 to 1 margin and mostly appraisal districts.

100% wanted TAAO to conduct another live Zoom Webinar.

"It was great. I'm so glad that so many members joined in and stayed the entire time," stated TAAO President Cathy Atkinson.

The live webinar also provided TAAO members with 1.75 CE credits.

"It's important that TAAO respond to these difficult circumstances creating new and creative ways to continue to service our members. The overwhelming positive response means TAAO must continue on this path," remarks TAAO Executive Director Richard May.

One of the respondents summed up the need for these types of educational webinars during these times, "This webinar was very helpful. The association and districts across the state need to continue with feedback so we can all be prepared when situations arrive at our front doors."
