About TAAO 

TAAO is a non-profit association that is a leader in property tax education and has been providing networking opportunities for tax professionals throughout the great state of Texas for more than 80 years.  The association is governed by an elected Executive Board of Directors and Regional Directors in addition to the entire statewide membership.

One of the number 1 goals of TAAO is to provide quality education to its members.  We offer a full range of state mandated courses plus additional workshops and seminars throughout the state of Texas.  These courses, workshops and seminars are taught by highly qualified  instructors registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Our mission Statement, as adopted by the Board of Directors, is to provide leadership in the property valuation, administration, and tax policy in the State of Texas, and through education, increase and improve the knowledge and professionalism of ad valorem tax practitioners
