It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allen Wayne McKinley. Allen was deeply involved with Texas property taxes for over 40 years. Having served as Chief Appraiser for Austin, Trinity, San Jacinto, and Falls Counties, as well as being a course instructor for many years, he left an impact on innumerable Appraisal Districts across the state. From cutting horses to preaching, there wasn’t much that he couldn’t find to share a good story mixed with a lot of wisdom. Allen will be remembered for his devotion to Christ. You couldn’t spend much time in conversation without him working his way to the Gospel. While cancer for most of us would be something to dread, Allen described cancer as God’s greatest blessing to him. It was cancer that strengthened his faith and energized his evangelism of others. It was cancer that ultimately brought him into the arms of Christ for eternity.

Allen leaves behind a numerous amount of family and friends who will cherish that time shared and memories made with him.
